The service
MalSight analyses files you submit and returns reports, indicators and, where the evidence supports them, detection rules.
Your account
Give accurate details, keep your credentials secure, and tell us if you suspect your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity under your account. Each person may claim the free analysis once; creating additional accounts to obtain more is not allowed.
Acceptable use
Use the service only for lawful, defensive security purposes, and submit only files you are entitled to share with us. Do not submit files containing other people's personal data unless you are allowed to do so.
Do not use the service or its results to develop, improve or distribute malware or to attack systems you are not authorised to test. Do not attack, probe, overload or bypass the limits or security of the service, and do not resell it without our permission.
Your files and results
You keep all rights in the files you submit. You allow us to store, process and analyse them only to provide the service to you. Files and results are deleted as described in the privacy policy.
Results are produced automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. A result is not a guarantee that a file is safe or malicious. Review and test detection rules before relying on them in production.
Plans and payment
Free: 1 analysis per account, one time. Pro: $100 USD per month for 10 analyses per billing period. Ultra: $300 USD per month for 50 analyses per billing period.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel in the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Unused analyses do not carry over, and an analysis counts once it has been accepted, even if it later fails or is cancelled. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.
Availability, suspension and changes
The service is provided as is, without an availability guarantee, and may be interrupted for maintenance. We may change or discontinue features. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can stop using the service at any time.
We will give notice of material changes to these terms before they take effect.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your statutory rights as a consumer.
